Marta Ferrari is an equine vet who qualified from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2004. Marta completed an Internship in Equine studies and a PhD in Equine Biomechanics at the Royal Veterinary College and then worked in Equine Ambulatory practice in Hertfordshire and Hampshire for 11 years. She also worked for the International Animal Charity SPANA (Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad) as a Veterinary Advisor, which gave her the opportunity to deal with working equids in many developing countries. She is now based in the New Forest and is running her own Donkey walking business “Walk Beside me”, as well as working as a vet part time.
